Hey! Thank you so much for visiting my site. My name is Josie and I am the face behind the camera. Ever since I was little I’ve loved picking up a camera and making people smile, I was always the voice behind the family video tapes too- listening back always makes me cringe! Even as a teen I would love taking out my huge dslr camera to my friends houses and capturing some questionable teenage antics.

My camera was neglected for a few years when I went off to the University of Chichester to study primary teaching, where I also met my husband. I have now relocated back to the Cotswolds and live with my husband and my two young sons. When my eldest son was born my camera made a come back appearance and I couldn't help but take too many photos of him, people would often comment how great the photos were and would ask if I’d consider doing it professionally...it has taken me a few years to feel brave enough to take the plunge but after a lot of practice on my own two children and my sometimes, unwilling family participants I’ve decided to go for it! As a mum, personally the images I love of my children are the ones that are taken in the moment, that show their true unique character, a snapshot of time… I have used other photographers for personal use since having children and I do treasure the photos but you can see how uncomfortable we all felt in the studio setting (ironically I hate having my photo taken). This idea set me on my path of ‘documentary style’ photography; Photography that isn’t set up but rather a natural event. This is why I love being welcomed into family homes and really discovering the family’s dynamic, style and true personalities. As a photographer I strive to capture the real smiles, the real love and the moments that you’ll remember with the most fondness when your little ones have flown the nest.
